About LightLeak

Light Leak Studios is Alejandro Baez’s professional/personal adventure in to the World Wide Web. I am currently a multimedia producer at ETV; where I am the batter-up for anything relating to website development and interactive design, to CD’s and DVD’s, and lately I have been summoned to perform as producer and director of several documentaries. I like to get my hands dirty and play with everything video. Doodling is one of my pastimes, so don’t be scared if sketches begin to appear on this site and last but not least I’m a wannabe photojournalist, but I am too scared to go to war-torn countries, so I mainly take pictures of cool things around the house.

This space grew out of the need to keep track of my projects and activities. Not only will you find out what I am working on, but also some of my interests and whacky ideas. Anything from the latest recipe that I concocted and fed my neighbors, to a book, or film that has touched, inspired or wasted precious hours of my life. I would like Light Leak Studios to grow in to a living document in which I can chart my growth as well as a device for interacting with other people that may share similar interests.

Why Light Leak? The first reflex camera that I ever owned (Nikon EM) was given to me by a colleague of my grandfather, and I shot my first roll of film. When I got it developed I noticed that all my pictures had reddish splotches in various parts of them. I asked around and was told “Oh, your camera has a light leak.” I wasn’t particularly fond of this but I thought they had a groovy look, so I decided to keep the pictures, I pawned the camera and the rest is history.
